
Emergency Services were called to a chemical spill at the Sainsbury’s store on Flanderwell Lane this morning after an early morning burglary.
A spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Police said that they were called to the scene on Flanderwell Lane, Sunnyside at around 5.30am this morning following a burglary.
Emergency Services including Firefighters and Yorkshire Ambulance Crews were called to the scene this morning at 9:30am after the discovery of chemicals, they remained on the scene until 12:30pm ensuring the area was safe and the chemical was identified.
The spokeswoman added “A woman has been taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.”
The store remains closed this afternoon and an investigation has been launched.
