Man dies in Ravenfield collision

Police are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian died in a collision in the Ravenfield area last night (14 March). 

Emergency services were called to Common Lane at 8.15pm last night following a collision between a car and a pedestrian. 

A Police Spokesperson said “It is reported that a black Dacia Duster was in collision with a pedestrian who is believed to have been in the road near to the junction with Bramley Lane.”

“The pedestrian, a 42-year-old man, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.”

Police are appealing to anyone who saw the pedestrian’s movements prior to the collision or saw the car in the area before the collision is asked to contact 101 quoting incident number 867 of 14 March.
