Man (19) suffers serious injuries after collision in Swinton

The driver of a black Audi was arrested after colliding with two pedestrians in the early hours of Saturday (24th March).

Emergency Services were called to Bridge Street, Swinton, at around 2.45am on Saturday after a black Audi A4 collided with two pedestrians, a South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said.

The spokeswoman confirmed that “A 19-year-old man was taken to hospital with life-changing injuries”

“An 18-year-old man suffered minor injuries. 

“The driver of the vehicle, a 20-year-old man, was arrested in connection with the incident but has since been released under investigation.”

Anyone with information about the incident should contact South Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 121 of March 23.
