Emergency Services were called to Aldwarke Lane this morning (23rd June) after a lorry became stuck under the railway bridge.
Traffic is building up in both directions due to road closures.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area
Emergency services were called just before 3pm on Sunday (21 June) after receiving reports of concerns for the welfare of a man on the roof of Whiston Church.
Emergency Services assigned the man to safety before being detained under the Mental Health Act, a police spokesperson said.
Chelsie Stephenson, 27, was working at HMP Doncaster in December 2018 when colleagues suspected she might be in a relationship with a serving prisoner.
Concerns were reported to South Yorkshire Police Prison Investigation Team, and Stephenson was subsequently arrested in January 2019.
Police searched the home of Stephenson after the arrest and discovered a mobile phone showing communication, including intimate messages, between Stephenson and the inmate.
Investigating officer, DC Christian Borum, said: โStephenson admitted being in a relationship with a prisoner following her arrest.”
โThe public rightly expects a high standard of behaviour from prison officers, and Stephenson did not uphold these standards.
โIt is important we continue to reinforce the message that behaviour like this will not be tolerated.โ
Stephenson, of Creighton Avenue, was sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court on (12 June) to eight months in prison, suspended for two years, 200 hours of unpaid work and must attend 30 rehabilitation days.
She had pleaded guilty to charges of misconduct in a public office.
The inmate with whom Stephenson was in a relationship had been jailed for drugs offences in February 2018. He was arrested and remanded in connection with this offence and was ordered to serve an additional 20 weeks in prison.
Police located the motorbike on High Hazel Crescent, Catcliffe after receiving reports at around 9:30 on Monday (15th June) of the motorbike being ridden around the Brinsworth area.
The motorcyclist failed to stop for traffic officers before being involved in a short pursuit in the local area before heading to Basingthorpe Lane, Greasbrough.

The 33 year-old male was arrested by officers and a dog unit for failing to stop, dangerous driving & insurance offences.
Steph, who was described as “one of our much-loved team members” from Rotherham Central NHP passed away peacefully on Sunday (7 June) following a brave battle with cancer.
Having joined South Yorkshire Police in December 2006 Steph spent most of her career working in Rotherham and playing a vital part of “Team Eastwood”
Steph was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer in September 2019 which had also spread to her liver.
In a message posted by Rotherham Central NHP they said “losing her will leave a huge void in our team. We will all miss her.”
Steph’s Husband, Paul McIntyre, a detective in Rotherham, shared the tribute: โSteph will leave an unfillable hole in our lives. We are all so proud of her. She loved her job, she loved her team, and she had no end of pride in the work she did and the lives she changed.
“I cannot put in to words how much I love her, and how much I will miss her.”
Inspector Chris Blake added: โEveryone who knew Steph, loved her.
“Steph was an outstanding PCSO. She really came in to her own during her time in Eastwood, and never stopped making a difference. Nothing was ever too much trouble for her and you could tell she cared deeply about the community and everyone in it.
“Steph will be sorely missed by the whole team. I just hope we can all do her proud.โ

Police were called to a property on Main Street in Mexborough at around 12.50pm today (8 June) where the body of a woman was found inside
Two men, aged 27 and 33, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody, a police spokesperson said.
“Enquiries are ongoing to ascertain the exact circumstances surrounding the woman’s death” the spokesperson added.
A police cordon remains in place at the scene while officers carry out their investigation work

“Just to ensure they stopped we gave them a little encouragement to stop.”
“The car was stopped on suspicion of having drugs in it but no drugs were found.” police spokesperson confirmed.
On Wednesday 20 May, it was reported that two girls, aged 14 and 15 years-old were walking along a gennel, leading to Wickersley park between 8:30pm and 9pm when they were approached by a man.
The man is then alleged to have approached the girls and made inappropriate comments, a police spokesperson said.
“A woman, unknown to the girls spoke with them as he left the area. The girls were both unharmed.”
Police are keen to speak to the woman who witnessed the incident and anyone else in the area, may have spoken to the girls after the incident, or have any information that can help officers with their enquiries.
“A 39-year-old man has been arrested in connection with this incident and remains in police custody.”

“Upon arrival, a 28 year-old man was found with wounds to his leg and taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.โ A South Yorkshire police spokesperson said
“A 55-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm. He remains in police custody.โ The spokesperson added.
“His vehicle, a Range Rover was seized for evidential purposes.

Belinda Evans, of Westgate appeared before court last Friday (15 May) after admitting stealing cash, jewellery and medication from the bed-bound 91-year-old.
On April 15th this year Evans approached the address at 4.30am, banging on the door and shouting through the letterbox claiming to be a carer and asking to be given the key code.
The victim let Evans in, but quickly realised that the time of the visit was out of step with her usual routine and requested the 41-year-old leave. Evans refused and proceeded to steal ยฃ70 in cash and a gold watch, belonging to the victimโs dead husband.
Detective Constable Sam Carr said: โThis crime saw a cold, calculated, heartless thief prey on an extremely vulnerable member of the community using absolutely shameful tactics. I welcome the sentence given on Friday.โ
โOur inquiry to identify Evans and put her before court has moved at pace. DC Mark Szabo carried out some excellent work and found medication belonging to the victim in Evansโs flat.

Evans was jailed for four and a half years by Sheffield Crown Court.
