Residents submit objections on planning application for 70 homes off Brecks Lane

by Admin

Early stage plans for the land off Brecks Lane received 90 representations from local residents, these included a number of objections

The objections raised concerns around the of lack of infrastructure, loss of privacy, detrimental impact on wildlife and increased demand for school places in the local area.

Avant Homes submitted a detailed application after Rotherham Councilโ€™s planning board granted outline permission for the site in July 2020.

The land, which was previously green belt, was earmarked for development in Rotherham Councilโ€™s local plan.

Avant have promise to install bird and bat boxes, and plant hedgerows and native trees across the site, and enclosed gardens will have โ€˜hedgehog cut outsโ€™ in walls and fences.

Public Consultation ended on 31 December 2021
