A 31-year old Sheffield Wednesday supporter has been sentenced after using a picture of six-year-old Bradley Lowery to mock Sunderland fans
Dale Houghton, aged 31 of Wickersley arrived at Sheffield Magistrates Court shortly before 1:30pm this afternoon (17 November) ahead of his sentencing at 2pm.
At a previous hearing on 2nd October, the court heard how Houghton, who was high on cocaine at the time held up a photo of six-year-old Bradley Lowery who died from cancer in 2017 as ‘football banter’
Houghton was sentenced to 12 weeks’ custody, suspended for 18 months. He’s also received a 5-year football banning order, and must complete 200 hours of unpaid work
