Deal brings four restaurant chains to Forge Island

Four newย foodย brands have signed lease contracts on Rotherhamโ€™sย Forge Island development, bringing a taste of the exotic to the Town Centre

Leading urban regenerationย developers,ย Muse, has struck a triple-header deal with Thistle Groupย which will transform the area into a vibrantย foodย destination for the whole community to enjoy.

First up is Casa Peri Peri, which will bring its own style of Portuguee and Southern Africanย flare,ย created byย Masterchefย star, Bobby Geetha.

Estabuloย Rodizioย / Sakku Sambaย is a dual-branded concept honouring the Gaucho style of cooking while at theย same timeย celebrating a fusion of Japanese-Brazilian cuisine.ย It will be the first time that the two concepts are brought together under one roof.

Caffรฉ Noorย completes the packย and isย a revolutionary luxury coffee shop with a fundamental differenceย asย 50% ofย all profitsย will beย donated to local community organisations to support vulnerable people.

Withย boutique cinema operator, The Arc, andย national hotel chain,ย Travelodge,ย already signed up to anchor Forge Island, excitement is buildingย with constructionexpected toย start on siteย thisย October.

The newย Forge Islandย willย beย set within an attractive publicย squareย withย aย newย pedestrian bridge connectingthe schemeย to theย widerย town centreย to create a real sense of place.

Raife Gale, senior development manager at Muse, said: โ€œAt Muse, weโ€™re all about bringing choice andย socialย purpose to the towns and cities we workย in. Bringing theseย fourย brands to Forge Island demonstrates what weโ€™re looking to achieveย here,ย and we canโ€™t wait to get on siteย in October.ย

Rotherham Councilโ€™s cabinet member for jobs and the local economy, Cllr Denise Lelliott, said:ย โ€œWe areย delighted to be welcoming these newย food establishmentsย to the flagship Forge Island development which will provideย a unique and exciting experience forresidents and visitors. It is an exciting time for Rotherham as we seeย our regeneration works begin to take shape.โ€
