Police investigating a collision in which a motorcyclist died have appealed for witnesses to come forward
At around 3.50pm on Wednesday (24 June), a motorcyclist riding a black Honda was travelling along Carr Lane in the direction of Kilnhurst, when it is reported he was in collision with a grey Nissan Navara which was travelling in the opposite direction.
The 25-year-old man who was on the bike suffered serious head injuries and sadly died in hospital the next day (25 June).
The investigation into the collision is continuing and police are keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened that afternoon or were present at the scene.
In particular, a woman believed to be a district nurse, and two other men who were present at the scene after the collision.
The two men had been travelling in a black mark 3 Ford Escort, and it was believed that the woman gave medical assistance to the injured motorcyclist.
