Appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage following road traffic collision

Police are appealing for information, witnesses and dashcam footage following a road traffic collision in the Firbeck area

Police were called to reports of a collision at Lamb Lane at 4.05pm on Sunday (1 December).

It is reported that a white Mercedes C350 collided with a large tree, causing injuries to the driver and three passengers. No other vehicles are involved.

A 25-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman were taken to hospital to be treated for serious injuries. An 18-year-old woman and a 33-year-old man were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The 33-year-old man was arrested on scene and has since been bailed.

Police would now like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or may have dashcam footage which could help the investigation. In particular, a black vehicle which was behind the Mercedes just prior to the collision.

Officers do not believe the black vehicle was involved in the collision but are keen to speak to anyone in that vehicle at the time as they may be able to provide information that can help with our enquiries.
