Wilko has announced the date when its final store in Rotherham will close
In a recent announcement, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) administrators have officially confirmed that Wilko will no longer be present as a high street retailer after Sunday, October 8th.
Poundland has agreed to assume the leases for as many as 71 locations. Additionally, B&M has decided to acquire up to 51 stores. It is anticipated that both of these retailers will eventually rebrand these stores under the names Poundland and B&M, respectively.
The Range has reached an agreement to acquire the Wilko brand, website, and intellectual property.
The overall closures have caused the loss of around 9,000 job losses.
