Rotherham Road closed due to burst water main

Rotherham Road is closed in both directions due to a burst water main

Police closed the road at the junction with Stonerow Way in Parkgate at around 4pm on Tuesday (9th May)

The road is expected to remain closed throughout the evening whilst Yorkshire Water and excavation teams work to fix the road.

A spokesperson for Rotherham Council said “The road surface has been lifted by the water.”

“We recommend that road users avoid the area and find an another route. Yorkshire Water are on their way to fix the leak.”
