Firefighters called to Brinsworth Academy bin fire

Firecrews were called to Brinsworth Academy yesterday evening after arsonists target a bin store

Two crews from Rotherham fire station attended the incident on Brinsworth Road at 5.55pm.

Upon arrival firefighters found the bin store well alight, a spokesman from South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said.

Crews extinguished the fire was just after 6.20pm and left the scene at 7pm.

“The fire is thought to have been started deliberately.”
