The Prime Minister Boris Johnson is expected to speak in front of political and business leaders this morning at Magna Science Centre.
The speech is part of the Convention of the North.
The event in Rotherham is expected to be to be the biggest gathering the country has ever seen so far with political and business leaders from across the North will join together alongside young people, trade unionists and community leaders.
Last week Boris visited West Yorkshire to launch a police recruitment drive in Wakefield which saw him heavily criticised for using police trainee officers as a the backdrop to a political speech.
