Fire Crews attended a chimney fire on Alwarke Lane at 4:30am yesterday (22nd December)

A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue confirmed “They quickly dealt with the incident and luckily no one was hurt”

“It’s a timely reminder, if you use an open fire, log burner or wood burning stove, you should GET YOUR CHIMNEY SWEPT!”
