Firefighters tackling fire on methane gas pumping
Firefighters are this evening (Tuesday 17th July) tackling a large grass land fire off Meadowhall Road, Kimberworth.
Fire Crews attended the grassland fire close overlooking the M1 just before 6pm yesterday.
Three fire engines put out the blaze with hoses and fire-bears whilst Police closed the nearby roads.
The Fire was on a recycling site where Methane Gas is being pumped and is being described as ‘hazardous’
South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said that the fire was ‘deliberate.’
