Firefighters are currently responding to a large grass fire in Brinsworth
Crews were called to land off Grange Lane just before 8pm on Saturday evening (9th September)
Residents in the local area are advised to keep windows closed where possible.
A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said
โWe currently have five fire engines dealing with a fire in an industrial building on Steel Street, Rotherham.โ
โPlease avoid the area if you can and keep all windows and doors closed as there is a lot of smoke in the area.โ
A spokesman for South Yorkshireย Policeย said: โWe were called at about 7.55pm yesterday (Wednesday, June 28) by a member of the public to report a concern for the safety of a man on a bridge over the M18″
“Officers attended and the scene was closed for about three-and-a-half hours โ reopening at about 11.35pm. The man was taken to hospital to receive appropriate medical care.โ
Three fire engines from Rotherham, Parkway and Elm Lane were called shortly after 9.30pm this evening (30th May)
The fire was extinguished using hose reels just before 10:30pm.
Kimberworth Road is closed to vehicles.

Emergency Services including two fire engines were called to St Johnโs Avenue in Woodlaithes shortly after 1pm on Monday (22 May)
Itโs not clear if anyone was injured in the single vehicle incident.
South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue have been contacted for an update.
Following the collision, local residents have raised concerns about the speed of motorists in the area.
SIX Fire Crews were called to a fire at KCM Waste Management on Gin House Lane on Friday (12th May)
In a Facebook post, KCM Waste Management said “Due to our Fire Management Plan and the incredible work of South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue, this was controlled and extinguished quickly and safely.”
“We would like to remind all customers to please be aware of what you are placing in your waste containers. Items such as batteries, e-cigarettes, gas cannisters, aerosols etc. are highly flammable and must NOT be disposed of within your skips or bins.”
“If you are ever unsure about any item going into your skip, PLEASE call us to check first. We can easily organise alternative disposal of these items for you.”
“A huge thank you to South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue and our on site team for working so hard to prevent escalation and ensure we can continue to operate.”

Vehicles travelling near to College Road roundabout this afternoon (13 May) were diverted for just over an hour just before 1pm.
Police closed the roundabout diverting traffic along Centenary Way towards St Anneโs Roundabout whilst Firefighters extinguished the fire.
The vehicle, a black Mercedes was destroyed in the fire and no injuries were reported.
The road has since reopened.
SIX Fire Crews are in attendance at an industrial fire at KCM Waste Management on Gin House Lane a spokesperson from South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue confirmed.
“If you live nearby keep your windows and doors closed and avoid the area if you can” the spokesperson added.
Emergency services have closed the M1 between J30 and J31
National Highways have said โSouth Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service lead the response to this incident and are currently working to extinguish a crane that has caught fire on the northbound carriageway.โ
โThe road has been closed in both directions as the smoke from the blaze is causing poor visibility on the southbound carriageway.โ
โTraffic within the closure is advised to remain in their vehicles with the windows and door shut. Please await further instruction from police or National Highways traffic officers.โ
