A โdeviantโ firearms dealer who secretly filmed women in bathrooms has been jailed following a police investigation
South Yorkshire Policeย launched an investigation into Daniel Valmont in 2022, after a reports of sexual communication were made
Officers attended Daniel Valmontโs home in Aston, where they seized his laptop. Upon searching his devices, police discovered extreme pornography, including content involving bestiality, as well as voyeuristic videos he had secretly filmed of women in bathrooms.
Valmont who owned โValmont Firearmsโ dealership also had his firearms seized and licence to operate revoked.ย
During his interviews Valmont provided officers with lies, and poor reasoning for his extreme pornography, including how he had forgotten to take the cameras out of bathrooms after filming himself.
He was subsequently charged with voyeurism and possession of indecent images of beastiality.
The judge sentencing Valmont said how he showed no remorse for his actions and has told countless lies throughout, only pleading guilty when he knew the witness to his crime showed up at court to provide evidence.
Investigating Officer Julie Cooper said: โFirearms can have devastating consequences and should only be in the hands of responsible, upstanding, and morally sound citizens.
โWe have strict processes in place to ensure that those in possession, handling and selling firearms are of a sound judgement and a โfit and properโ person, and Valmontโs actions show he does not reflect this.
โValmontโs actions have caused his victim distress and ruined his own life; he now faces prison and has lost his job and livelihood.โ
Valmont was sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court on 12 December to 42 weeks in prison and subject to a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
