Police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward after a collision yesterday afternoon (7th August) in the Kimberworth area. Leaving a woman with life-threatening injuries.
A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said โAt around 4.30pm, it was reported that a black Renault Clio was travelling along Pitt Street, Kimberworth heading in the direction of Rotherham town centre.โ
The Clio was involved in a collision with a woman who had got out of her car, a silver Audi A3, which was parked at the kerb on Pitt Street.
A Pedestrian, a 57-year-old woman was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries where she remains in critical condition.
The Clio was soon involved in a further collision a stationary red Skoda Fabia shortly afterwards.
The driver of the Clio, a 24-year-old man, was arrested nearby on Meadow Bank Road, on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He currently remains in police custody today (8th August).
The occupants of the Skoda, who were inside the vehicle at the time of the collision, were not injured.
