Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision involving two teenagers on an off-road bike in Herringthorpe
At 3.18pm on Sunday (26 July), emergency services, including an air ambulance, were called to the junction of Western Road and Badsley Moor Road following reports of a collision.
It is understood that a black and green motorcycle, carrying a driver and pillion passenger, and a black VW Golf were involved in the incident.
The driver of the motorcycle, a 15-year-old boy, was taken to hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The pillion passenger, a 16-year-old girl, and the driver of the black VW Golf, a 30-year-old woman, both sustained minor injuries.
The collision prompted the closure of Badsley Moor Road throughout the evening while emergency services dealt with the incident and collision investigators carried out enquiries at the scene.
A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “As our investigation into the circumstances continues, we’re urging anyone who witnessed the collision and has not yet spoken to officers, or those with dashcam footage of the collision or the vehicles prior to the collision, to come forward and speak to us.”
