Police have released CCTV images of two men they wish to identify as part of an ongoing investigation into a serious assault outside a pub in Wickersley
The incident occurred at approximately 1.15am on Saturday, 25 April 2026, in the outdoor seating area of the Masons Arms on Bawtry Road.
According to police, the victim was approached by a man who allegedly struck him in the face with a glass. At the same time, a second man is reported to have punched the victim on the side of the head.
Emergency services attended the scene, and the victim was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Police confirmed that while the injuries were significant, they were not considered life-threatening.
As enquiries continue, officers have released CCTV images of two men who may be able to assist with the investigation. Detectives are also urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has information about what happened to come forward.
One of the men being sought is described as white, aged between 20 and 30, standing between 5ft 6in and 5ft 9in tall, with a muscular build. He reportedly has a slight beard and dirty blonde or light brown hair, shaved at the sides and longer on top. At the time the CCTV image was captured, he was wearing a black T-shirt, a black jumper tied around his shoulders, grey skinny jeans and black trainers.
The second man is described as Asian, also aged between 20 and 30, with a slim build. He has dark brown or black hair, shaved at the sides and longer on top, along with a beard and moustache. He was seen wearing a white top underneath a black hoodie, along with jeans and trainers.
Police are asking anyone who recognises the men or has information relevant to the investigation to contact them online or by calling 101, quoting incident number 56 of 25 April 2026.
