Detectives investigating two incidents at a convenience store in Kimberworth have arrested a 53-year-old man on suspicion of sexual activity with a child
Police say they received two separate reports over the weekend relating to the shop. The first incident occurred on Saturday, 25 April, when concerns were raised after a young person was seen emerging from a back room with a member of staff. A 53-year-old man has since been arrested and remains in custody for questioning.
The second report relates to an alleged assault involving a member of staff on Sunday, 26 April. Officers have confirmed that enquiries into this incident are ongoing.
Following extensive enquiries earlier today, officers were able to identify the previously unknown young person involved in the first incident. They are now assisting police with their investigation.
