Joint administrators James Lumb and Howard Smith from Interpath have confirmed the completion of a deal that sees substantially all assets of the CF Booth group acquired by Hu11 Limited, a subsidiary of Ron Hull Jnr Limited.
The administrators were first appointed to CF Booth Limited, one of the UKโs leading metal recycling companies, on 16 January 2026, before being appointed over five additional subsidiaries on 20 January 2026.
On 10 March 2026, Lumb and Smith were also appointed joint administrators to Demex Limited and Albion Jones Limited, both part of the CF Booth group. Immediately after these appointments, a sale of the companiesโ assets was completed to Hu11 Limited.
The deals involving Demex and Albion Jones were completed as going concern sales, allowing the demolition business to continue operating and protecting jobs.
As part of the transaction, all 29 employees working for Demex and Albion Jones have transferred to Hu11 Limited.
Founded in Rotherham in 1976, the Ron Hull Group has grown into one of Yorkshireโs most recognisable companies in the metal recovery and waste recycling industry. Its Ron Hull Jnr division is now one of the largest scrap metal traders in the North of England, dealing in all grades of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.

The acquisition raises hopes that activity may resume at CF Boothโs Rotherham sites in the future while maintaining employment for staff within the demolition businesses.
