Swift action by a police response officer led to the arrest of a man following a brief foot chase in Parkgate on Saturday, 13 September.
While on patrol at Great Eastern Retail Park in Parkgate, the officer was approached by a concerned member of the public who reported seeing a man attempting to open car doors. An immediate search of the car park proved unsuccessful.
Shortly afterwards, the same witness spotted the suspect heading toward a nearby supermarket. The officer located a man matching the description provided and pulled alongside him. The man attempted to flee, prompting a short foot chase.
