Officers investigating a firearms discharge in Ferham have charged a 20-year-old man in connection with the incident
On 11 September 2024, police were called to reports of gunfire on Ferham Road. Emergency services, including armed response officers, attended the scene. A 20-year-old man was taken to hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening or life-changing and has since been discharged.
Reece Barnes, 31, of Claremont Street, Kimberworth, has been charged with attempted murder, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, making threats to kill, assault by beating, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Barnes has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at Sheffield Magistratesโ Court today (11 September).
