Rotherham Council has issued an update on recent bin collection delays, apologising for the disruption and confirming that new temporary staff are being brought in to help get services back on track
A Council spokesperson said: “We are sorry for the recent bin collection delays and the inconvenience this has caused. We’re taking action and new temporary staff are joining our collection teams while we’re also recruiting new permanent roles.”
Residents whose bins have not yet been emptied are being asked to leave them out, if it is safe to do so, as crews will return to collect them as soon as possible.
