Rotherham Council has issued a notice informing residents that ‘ongoing resource’ challenges are causing disruptions to the borough’s usual bin collection schedule
The council has acknowledged the delays and expressed regret over the inconvenience, assuring the public that crews are working tirelessly to catch up on missed collections.
“We understand this is frustrating and we apologise for any inconvenience caused,” a council spokesperson said.
Residents whose bins have not been emptied on the expected day are advised to leave them in their usual collection spot, where it is safe to do so. The council has committed to returning to affected areas as soon as possible to complete the missed rounds.
The council also stated that it is actively working to resolve the issue and restore the regular waste collection service across Rotherham.
“We are doing everything we can to resolve the issue. Thank you for your patience and understanding.”
