A multi-agency operation is currently underway in response to an ongoing incident on Gerard Road, Wellgate
South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue stated: “A cordon has been established, and we are urging people to avoid the area while we work to bring the incident to a safe conclusion.”
Eyewitnesses report a significant presence of emergency services, including police and an incident response unit. A strong smell of gas has also been noted in the area.
