Emergency services have cordoned off part of Cherry Wood Way this evening following reports of a suspected explosive device
Officers responding to the scene are working alongside the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team, who are preparing to carry out a controlled explosion shortly.
Police have warned residents in the area that they may hear a loud bang but have urged people not to be alarmed.

A 50-metre cordon has been established, and Cherry Wood Way remains closed between Jacob Way and Brooks Drive while emergency services continue their work.
At this time, police say the device is not believed to be suspicious.
