Plans have been submitted to transform a series of disused agricultural buildings in Wentworth, into a hotel and holiday retreat featuring a spa, swimming pool, and restaurant.
The proposal, developed by RSL, outlines the conversion of several historic structuresโincluding the Threshing Barn, Powerhouse, Gun Park building, and Potting Shedsโinto high-end accommodation and leisure facilities.
RSL said the development will โfacilitate an enhanced visitor offering whilst providing a sustainable future for the Home Farm buildings, which contribute to the character of the Wentworth Estate and conservation area.โ
The Threshing Barn is set to be transformed into hotel accommodation, with a new spa and cafรฉ also planned.
Plans also include restoring the Gun Park building and converting it into a restaurant, while the Potting Sheds and Cart Sheds would be repurposed as hotel suites.
The Powerhouse, built in 1904 to supply electricity to Wentworth Woodhouse, would be redeveloped into an events and wedding venue.
The entire development will benefit from thoughtfully designed landscaping and improved parking arrangements.
A secondary access point through Granny Clarkeโs Wood will provide additional parking spaces, while new planting schemes will help the site blend seamlessly into the surrounding environment.
