THREE people have been arrested after an 81-year-old cyclist was killed in hit-and-run at Todwick
Police said the man was struck by a blue VW Golf on the A57 near Todwick at about 3:15pm on Friday (4 April) and pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers arrested two men, aged 27 and 28 on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop.
These have since been released on police bail.
A woman aged 46 was also arrested on suspicion of assisting offenders and has been released under investigation.
Police are now appealing for help to locate the vehicle, which is believed to have left the scene heading towards Killamarsh after the collision.
CCTV image of the car they believe was involved identified damage to the front bumper, passenger side headlight and wing mirror.
Anyone who believes they may have seen a car matching the description or know where it may be being stored is asked to contact police by quoting incident number 544 of 4 April 2025.
