Emergency Services were called to Centenary Way after receiving reports of concern for safety

Emergency Services including South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue were called to Centenary Way on Monday (1 January) at 6.34pm following reports of a concern for safety incident.

One eye-witness described seeing numerous fire engines, police and ambulance crews near to the River Rother at Canklow

A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said “officers attended the scene and despite extensive searches of the area nobody involved could be located.”

South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue confirmed they attended the call to assist South Yorkshire Police and the Yorkshire Ambulance Service

They left the scene at 7:26pm.
