Three fire engines attended attended a fire in an industrial building on Coggin Mill Way, Templeborough, Rotherham after a call was received at 6.40pm.
The fire was caused by a forklift truck battery that had possibly developed a fault leading to ignition. The fire then spread to a number of tyres within the car garage area.
Crews used breathing apparatus and hose reels to extinguish the fire and used a ventilation fan to clear the smoke.
