Two arrested as police discover gun in garden shed during Kimberworth warrant

Officers in Rotherham have made two arrests following recovery of a firearm.

Whilst executing a warrant in relation to suspected drug supply in the Kimberworth area of Rotherham, on Monday (9 October), officers recovered an illegal firearm stored in a garden shed.

A 44-year-old man and 37-year-old woman, both from Rotherham, have been arrested on suspicion of possession of a prohibited firearm and have been released on bail pending further investigation.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Enquiries are ongoing. If you have any information which could assist our officers, you can contact us online or by calling 101. Please quote incident number 466 of 9 October when you get in touch.”
