Wentworth Woodhouse revealed that ‘Longharvest Lane’ scenes from the new Netflix series ‘Bodies’ were filmed at a location hidden from the public within the grounds of the stately home

The new Netflix limited series “Bodies,” featuring Stephen Graham, unfolds across various timeframes, encompassing London’s past, present, and future, while delving into the investigation of four murders.

A synopsis reads: Four detectives. Four timelines. One body. Based on the mind-bending graphic novel by Si Spencer, Bodies is a police procedural with a twist. When a body – the same body – is found on Longharvest Lane in London’s East End in 1890, 1941, 2023 and 2053, one detective from each period must investigate.

“As connections are drawn across the decades, the detectives soon discover their investigations are linked, and an enigmatic political leader – Elias Mannix – becomes increasingly central. Did he have a part to play in the murder? Or is something far more sinister at play? To solve the mystery, our four detectives must somehow collaborate and uncover a conspiracy spanning over 150 years.”

Although the series is based in London, and the discovery of the body takes place on Longharvest Lane, it’s worth noting that the eerie East End street is a product of fiction, as the filming actually occurred at Wentworth Woodhouse and Leeds.

Wentworth Woodhouse posted on Facebook an exciting message on Facebook for viewers:

“Has anybody been watching the new hit series #Bodies (starring Stephen Graham) on Netflix?”

“If not, see if you can spot us as Longharvest Lane 👀 This area of the House isn’t accessible to the public but was used as a filming location for the series between March and September 2022!”

“We’re delighted to have been featured in this dystopian detective drama, alongside other Yorkshire locations, to help support the growth of the northern filming industry.”
