A POLICE helicopter was called in to assist with the search for two armed men who held up Wingfield Post Office
Police were called to Wingfield Post office shortly after 8.30am this morning (22 February) after two men, said to be armed with a gun and a hammer robbed threatened a shop assistant and stole cash.
A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said “After taking cash and coins, they then left the store in the direction of Goodwin Road”
“Nobody was physically injured”
A police investigation is now underway
