Euro Garages has submitted plans to turn the former Toyota showroom into a 24-hour petrol station with food outlets and a drive-thru coffee shop
Euro Garages Limited has set out plans on how it would repurpose the former car dealership located off Ickles roundabout at Templeborough
Plans show that the the existing 9,000 sq ft showroom would be retained and be converted into a petrol station building with an ancillary retail store and three food-to-go units.
The separate coffee shop building would is proposed to the south of the petrol station, with a drive-thru lane running along its southern side.
Fuel pumps with a canopy, vacuum and jet wash facilities are also proposed along with electric charging points for the site which would operate 24 hours, and create 30 jobs according to the developer
The main point of access will be on the western side, while the access point to the north of the site will be a one way exit only.
The layout incorporates a new pedestrian link from the site to the existing footway along Riverside Way.
The plans, drawn up by Atticus Planning, said: โThe development seeks to redevelop a brownfield site into a modern, fresh development which will serve as a boost to the local economy and generally improve the visual appearance of the immediate surrounding area.โ
