Police attended Whybourne Grove after a man presented gunshot injuries at Hospital
Police said a man man attended hospital at 8.30pm on Thursday (23 February) with suspected gunshot injuries after a shooting in the Whybourne Grove area of Wellgate.
A police cordon was in place throughout the morning with access to Whybourne Grove blocked between Narrow Twitchell and Mansfield Road.
A force spokesperson confirmed, the sustained injuries are not thought to be serious or life-threatening
The spokesperson added: “An investigation is underway and anyone who holds information about what happened is asked to contact police using live chat, online portal or by calling 101 quoting incident number 907 of February 23 2023.”
