A police cordon was put in place around the petrol station in Kimberworth shortly after 7am on Tuesday (14th February) whilst emergency services responded to reports of a robbery
A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “It is believed four males entered the shop and threatened staff before making off with cigarettes.
“A 29-year-old man was arrested nearby on suspicion of robbery. He remains in custody at this time.
“An investigation is underway and officers are carrying out a number of lines of enquiry.”
