The American fried chicken fast food restaurant Popeyes is coming to Parkgate
The growing US restaurant chain is planning to open at Parkgate in 2023 giving locals the opportunity to try its “Famous Louisiana Chicken.”
Founded in New Orleans in 1972, Popeyes brings to the area a unique New Orleans style menu featuring spicy chicken and other regional items.
Following a successful arrival to London in 2021, the US chain says it plans to open a further 20 restaurants in 2023, bringing the total number of UK sites to 31 by the end of 2023.
Tim Crowley, Popeyes UK CEO has said Rotherham is likely to be the first of the new franchises to open with a drive-thru.
“There is a pattern emerging now at all our openings with people queuing through the night to be the first in line on opening day.”
