Greasbrough homes left without power after underground electricity fire

Over 300 properties have been left without power this evening after an underground electrical fire in the area

Firefighters are supporting Electrical Engineers on Cinder Bridge Road, Greasbrough this evening (20th October)

There is currently a four-way road closure is in place affecting Main Street, Church Street, Harold Croft and Cinder Bridge Road. 

A spokesperson for the Fire Service said “We have one fire engine in attendance at an underground electrical fire on Cinder Bridge Road, Greasbrough.”

“Please avoid the area whilst we deal with this incident!
