Cyclist (54) killed in Whiston collision

Traffic Officers in Rotherham are appealing for witnesses to a collision in Whiston that saw a cyclist lose their life

It was reported that at 1:20pm this afternoon (Sunday 4th September) a car and a cyclist were involved in a collision on Pleasley Road, Whiston.

Emergency Services including Fire Crews and and Ambulance Crews attended the scene but the cyclist, a 54-year-old man from the local area sadly died at the scene a police spokesperson confirmed

“His family have been informed and are being supported at this difficult time. Formal identification is yet to take place.” added the spokesperson.

Officers are keen to hear from any witnesses to the incident or from those who may have been driving past.
