Five arrested following knifepoint threats in Whiston

FIVE men have been arrested after a victim was threatened at knifepoint at a a property in Whiston this morning

South Yorkshire Police attended Lathe Road, Whiston at 12.45am following reports of a disturbance.

It was reported that a number of offenders had arrived at the property and damaged a vehicle parked outside, before the victim was threatened at knifepoint inside the address, a spokeswoman for the force said.

Three 20-year-year old men have been arrested on suspicion of affray. 

A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of threats to kill, aggravated burglary and ABH. 

And a 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of threats to kill and aggravated burglary.

All suspects remain in police custody at this time, confirmed the spokeswoman.
