Police have launched an investigation after the drone caused the Derby between Rotherham and Sheffield Wednesday to stop in the fifth minute of the game at the New York Stadium
A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police confirmed “Police were alerted to the drone shortly after kick-off and the game was briefly paused while officers located and identified the pilot.
“The drone has been seized and enquiries are ongoing.”
