Renewed appeal as man (24) missing from Brinsworth

As police continue to search for missing Brinsworth man Corey Mitchell, officers have released details of a confirmed sighting and a new CCTV image.

Corey, 24, was last seen by his family at around 5am on Sunday 5th July and hasn’t been heard from since. 

He was spotted on CCTV on the junction of Duncan Street and Whitehill Lane at around 7.20am on the same morning.

Corey was wearing a dark coloured hoody, dark tracksuit bottoms and black/grey wellies. He was also carrying an orange rucksack. 

Detective Inspector Joanne Kemp said: “Our concerns for Corey’s safety are growing and his family are desperate for information about where he is. 

“As well as this confirmed sighting on Duncan Street, we also know that Corey often goes walking along the train track at Brinsworth, down the back of Halfords and towards the Parkway. 

“I would urge anyone who knows that area or who has been in that area over the last few days to think about whether they’ve seen him.”
