Emergency services were called just after 12pm on Wednesday (20th May) following reports of an accident between a car and a pedestrian in Doncaster Road, Mexborough.
A four-year-old boy was involved in the collision with a red Skoda Fabia
The Yorkshire Air Ambulance was called to the scene but the boy was taken to hospital by Road Ambulance for minor injuries.
Police closed the road for a short time before reopening an hour later.
