Police appeal for information following serious collision in Brinsworth

Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision in Brinsworth last night which left a man in his 20s seriously injured

At around 11pm on Thursday, 9th April it was reported that a silver Land Rover Discovery failed to stop for police officers on Bawtry Road, Brinsworth.

After a short pursuit, the Land Rover is believed to have lost control on Manor Road, coming into collision with two parked cars and a police car, a police spokesperson said.

“A 23-year-old Rotherham man travelling as a passenger in the Land Rover suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital.”

“The driver of the Land Rover is believed to have fled the scene on foot and has not yet been identified.”

If you live in the local area and witnessed the collision, please contact police. Any motorists who may have been travelling along Bawtry Road or Manor Road at the time of the pursuit and collision, who may hold dashcam footage, are also asked to get in touch.
