Police were called to Flanderwell Lane, Sunnyside at around 12:35am this morning after receiving reports of a man (29) suffering from gun shot injuries
Police said “upon arrival, a 29-year-old man was found to have a suspected gunshot injury to his leg.”
He was taken to hospital to receive treatment.
Flanderwell Lane remains closed while officers carry out initial enquiries to understand the circumstances surrounding the incident.
A police investigation is in its early stages and anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting incident number 23 of 3 March 2020.
