The package arrived in a solid box embossed with a gloss image set amongst a perfect clean white background which really made the additional image/text ‘pop’. Our attention was immediately drawn to image of the black watch strap.
Upon opening the magnetic flap on the box we was presented with the stainless steel buckles on the strap, surrounded by foam for additional safety and comfort.
To install the straps, the usual ‘slide’ installation took place and the watch was in situ and looking at home.
We tested the The Active Watch Strap for a number of weeks in different conditions, inside and outside, rain or shine. The stainless steel around the velcro strap provides the extra security for when you may need it most without the added weight, the bonus? you don’t even know it’s on your wrist! The nylon strap, combined with the Apple Watch 44mm, weighs just 2.5 ounces total.
The strap is probably wider than most usual bands, something that makes this strap unique. Personally, we’d say that the extra width means extra security, providing a larger surface area for the hook and loop fastening and less chance of the strap splitting or coming loose during increased movements.
