Police are investigating after masked men raided a Masbrough pensionerโs and stole a โa significant amountโ of cash.
At around 9.30pm on Sunday (22 September) the victim heard her dog growling at the back of her home on College Road.
When she went outside, she was confronted by two men believed to be carrying knives.
The men, both reported to have been wearing masks had threatened to hurt the woman and her dog before grabbing her, forcing her inside and dragged to the floor.
A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said โThey left on foot shortly afterwards, with a significant amount of cash.โ
โThe woman only sustained minor injuries, however she was left incredibly shaken and upset by what happened.โ
Detectives investigating want to hear from anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area last night.
