A Flood Alert has been issued by the Environment Agency this evening for Lower River Rother
The Environment Agency have advised that flooding is possible for River Rother and its tributaries from Renishaw to Rotherham.
โRiver levels have risen as a result of the heavy rainfall that has fallen overnight and today (29th September).โ
โFurther rainfall is forecast over the next couple of hours. We expect river levels to remain high this evening.โ
โLevels have risen at Woodhouse Mill due to backing up at the regulator. We are closely monitoring the situation and our Leeds Incident Room is open.โ
โPlease stay aware in case warnings are issued and see the GOV.UK website for a 5 day flood forecast.โ
